Test Automation Engineer

Job description
As Test Automation Engineer at Shoreline you will be part of our Engineering teams to setup Automated tests, including end-to-end tests, that ensure our software products are tested toughly and consistently. You will help shape how we do testing and quality assurance in Shoreline as an active member of our cross-functional QA team.
What you will do
  • Be part of the Engineering team and participate in scrum events.
  • Work closely together with UX designers and product owners/stakeholders.
  • Assist in acceptance testing user stories.
  • Become an expert in our products and learn our customers’ needs and workflows.
  • Setup automation testing and reporting.
  • Continuous improvement of the test process including processes, methods and tools.
  • Equal focus on functional and non-functional tests.
  • Responsible for deciding appropriate level on what should be automated, to what extent and how.
  • Take responsibility for defining and maintaining test strategies, this means:
    • Write test cases and ensure user stories and acceptance criterias are testable.
    • Have Equal focus on functional and non-functional tests.
    • Create and maintain test data.
  • Take responsible for planning, executing, documenting, and continuously improving relevant tests, this means:
    • Adapt the test plan based on test results to proactively counteract future problems.
    • Manage and report product risks.
    • Reporting defect during testing of items under development.
    • Communicate with product owners during the software development iterations.
  • Coach the engineering teams in use of automation tools.
  • Collaborate with other Automation Test/QA engineers for alignment, support and knowledge sharing across teams.
Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years work experience as a test engineer
  • Experienced with test automation at all test levels
  • Experienced with usability testing
  • ISTQB certified or equivalent
  • Have software development experience
  • Experienced with Playwright
  • Experienced with PEN testing
