UX Researcher

Job description
At Shoreline we aim to understand the people who will use our products, gleaning insights to drive product direction and strategy. As we scale the team, we're looking for teammates with a range of expertise in both quantitative and quantitative research methods and analytics. For this position, we are looking for researchers with strong skills in behavioural data analysis, experimental testing and user research. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator, knowledgeable about product development, comfortable in a fast-moving organisation, and passionate about understanding and helping people.

What you will do
  • Strategy: Work closely with the UX and product teams to identify strategic user research initiatives. Prioritise research efforts while considering impact, goals, the broader product vision, and company objectives.
  • Research: Initiate, plan and conduct research to build deep foundational knowledge of our users, and competitors using a mix of techniques. Work closely with the UX and product teams to develop user personas, user journeys, user stories, and document findings.
  • Testing: Initiate, plan and conduct usability testing to assess product solutions and flows using a mix of techniques such as A/B testing, and data analytics.
  • Analytics: Analyse and interpret quantitative data and qualitative feedback to provide valuable user and product insights.
  • User knowledge: Develop a deep empathic understanding of users, learn about their needs, and identify gaps.
  • Evangelism: Communicate and advocate for actionable insights in a clear and compelling way.
Who you are
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of/experience in a variety of UX research and analytics techniques and tools.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing.
  • Proficient in communicating directly with users and customers.
  • Adept at handling and analysing both quantitative and qualitative data.

Nice to have (but by no means necessary!)
  • Enterprise software company experience.
  • Agile/scrum experience.
  • Mixpanel and/or Google Analytics experience.
