Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about ensuring that Shoreline customers get the best possible experience. You will build up knowledge of our customers workflows and needs, ensuring product quality before release. This includes close collaboration with our Engineering teams, UI/UX and Product Department to deliver and shape high-quality SaaS and mobile products for our customers.
What you will do
  • Be part of both an Engineering team and our QA team
  • Work closely together with UX designers and product managers/stakeholders to improve our products
  • Assist in acceptance testing of user stories and releases.
  • Ensure that defects are resolved before proceeding; features and releases will only proceed with QA approval.
  • Become an expert in our products and learn our customers’ needs and workflows
  • Be responsible for defining and maintaining test strategies, including:
    • Writing test cases and ensure user stories and acceptance criteria are testable
    • Maintaining an equal focus on both functional and non-functional tests.
    • Creating and maintaining test data
  • Take responsibility for planning, executing, documenting, and continuously improving relevant tests, including:
    • Adapting the test plan based on test results to proactively counteract future problems
    • Managing and reporting product risks
    • Reporting defects found during the testing phase.
    • Communicate with product managers throughout the software development cycles.
  • Collaborate with other Automation Test/QA Engineers for alignment, support and knowledge sharing across teams
Who you are
  • Quality-conscious
  • A Team player
  • Have minimum 5 years work experience as a QA Engineer
  • Experienced with agile development processes and methods
  • Experienced with test automation
  • Experienced with usability testing
  • Experienced with Jira and Xray or similar
  • ISTQB certified or equivalent
  • Insight into or experience with Software development and Playwright
