Shoreline has become the leading provider of SaaS solutions to the global wind power industry. Wind farm developers, OEMs, contractors and operators are increasingly reliant on smart simulation solutions to virtually plan and optimize construction and operation,  using digital solutions. Shoreline is looking for a Technical Writer to support our Product and Delivery teams to make sure our customers get the most out of our advanced software.
Shoreline Design has already established itself as the industry standard having been applied to more than 20GW of projects deployed globally. The industry is still in its infancy with massive growth projected in the coming decennia. With Shoreline Design, wind power professionals can simulate and analyze unlimited scenarios in a risk-free virtual environment. With Shoreline Execution we they can optimize wind-farm construction and maintenance.
We have an opportunity to introduce an in-house technical writing function to help solve internal and external gaps in knowledge and to improve overall understanding of our product. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces change as our products continue to evolve.
The Shoreline organization consists of three main divisions, namely Sales & Marketing, Product and Development & Delivery. You will as the technical writer be part of the Knowledge team within Delivery.

What you will do
Main responsibilities:
  • Drive the content management and publishing strategy for our user documentation and training materials.
  • Establish a documentation publishing process and standards that will be applied to all documentation for the product.
  • Work with subject matter experts to create and deliver content based on product timelines and customer needs.
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing.
  • Maintain training materials to support knowledge sharing within the company as well as with its clients and customers.

Key skills & experience
  • You love digging in, learning new things, and making complex concepts accessible for a broad audience.
  • You’re able to understand the needs of our different user groups and craft the information accordingly. 
  • You obsess over language and communication, aim to continuously improve your practice, process, and craft.
  • You're able to assess priorities and be effective with minimal guidance.
  • You have experience working with data in a product context or you're interested in doing so.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical writing or other relevant experience.
  • Experience working with technical products.
  • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders and users.
  • Examples that show your ability to document complex technical products for a broader audience.
Preferred skills & experience
  • Professional experience with and/or a passion for operations research and simulation modeling.
  • Professional experience working with renewable energy companies.
